CAROLE A. MOREFIELD Wooster -- Carole A. Morefield moved to a new address on July 7th to be with her Lord and Savior and walk the streets of gold with saints and angels. Carole was a classic example of strong but quiet faith. Her concern and compassion for others was evident to all who were fortunate to have been party to her circle of family and friends. She became a “Wooster mom” to many – especially young people. She lived the past 40 years in Wooster and made lasting friends with her engaging smile and popular downtown enterprise called Carole’s Candy Cupboard. She left fond memories with her unique ability to offer encouragement with a greeting card ministry. Carole was a faithful member of the Church of the Saviour. For over 30 years she was an avid supporter of the College of Wooster Basketball team. The Gaither Vocal Band and Jan Fleming are her favorite entertainers. Her special recipes during holiday festivities were family treasures. “Leftovers” were non-existent. Encouraging others to invest in family, friends, and faith was her passion and pride. Surviving is her husband, Ray, three daughters: Nola (David) Chapman, Lisa (Dirk) Withrow and Lori Morefield, 9 loving grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received for calling hours Thursday from 9 am to noon at the Church of the Saviour in Wooster, Ohio. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday at noon with Rev. Gerald Durham and Pastor Dan Bartkowiak officiating. Entombment will be at the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery in Rittman at a later date. Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is assisting the family with the arrangements. One of Carole’s granddaughters reminded us “as long as we hold her in our hearts, she will never die”. Carole, as a lasting thought – “Remember One Thing……..”
