Earl & Edna Hoxworth

Earl Hoxworth, 91 yr. old, died at Wayne Manor in Wooster on October 23, 2008 in the early AM. Edna Hoxworth, 83 yr. old also died on October 23, 2008 in the afternoon at Wooster Community Hospital. They were married on August 12, 1950 and left this life together. Earl was born on August 26, 1917 to Cliff and Floy ( Miller) Hoxworth in Killbuck, OH. Edna was born March 24, 1925 in Millersburg, OH. to Ira and Elsie (Miller) Hostetler. In 1957 the family moved from Killbuck to Wooster. Surviving are 3 daughters, Janet (Bob) Basting of Woodburn, Indiana, Marilyn (Les) Cotsamire of Roanoke,VA., and Carolyn (Pat) Mosier of Smithville, OH.. Earl is survived by brother, Paul Richard of Millersburg. He is preceeded in death by a brother's, Arthur, Dennis and Lawrence. Edna is survived by her brother. Lymon (Beverly)Hostetler of Berlin, OH. They both lost their parents, grandson Joshua Cotsamire, Step-grandson, Kevin Mosier and their good friends, Eva and Herman Zemrock. Grandchildren, Christine (David) Miller, Timothy Cotsamire, Kieth (Lisa) Kyser and Heather (Mark) Lasky; Great-grandsons, Matthew Paul Lasky and James Hammond Miller both born this year; step-grandchildren, Jamie Mosier and Kyle Mosier. Edna loved her family. God, reading, walking, cooking and gardening and enjoyed being a seamstress. She also worked at the Election Board. Earl worked at Timkens in Wooster for 33 years and volunteered for the Wooster Twp. Fire Dept. He loved to garden and walk. Edna was the baker and Earl was the host.Even in assisted living, he liked handing out ice cream bars. Visits from family and friends were always welcome. He was very proud to be 91 years old. Edna was a member for over 40 years at the Wooster Grace Brethren Church and presently a member of the Heyl Rd. Church of Christ in Wooster. Earl was a member of the Wooster Grace Brethren Church for 50 years. Calling hours will be Sunday, October 26, from 7-9 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster. Services will be at the Heyl Road Church of Christ, 715 Heyl Road, Wooster on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Family burial will be at Killbuck Cemetery.
