Frances C. Dilworth

Frances C. Dilworth, age 91, of Wooster, died peacefully to join those loved one's that have departed before her into heaven, on Thursday, September 20th, 2012 at Wooster Community Hospital where she was surrounded by her family. Memorial services will be Friday, 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 7595 Middle St., Clinton, Ohio with Pastor's Julie Thoms and Robert Moskowitz officiating. A private interment will take place at the Clinton Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at: www.custerglenn.com. Frances was born on January 15, 1921 at Camp Jackson, S.C. to William P. and Mattie H. (Carver) Medley. She was raised in Georgia before moving to Ohio. She worked at the former Bartrum Tire Co., in Barberton as a Bookkeeper where she also met her husband, Joseph "Joe" Dilworth. They married in Clinton, OH. on August 16, 1946. He passed away in 1985. She was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton; enjoyed playing games and especially cards; was an avid bowler and was very proud to have donated over 20 gallon's of blood throughout her life. She is survived by her children, Bobbie Valentine of FL., James "Jim" Alvin (Kathy) Dilworth of Akron, Billie Jean (Jeffrey) Novak of Apple Creek, and Bonnie Jo Dilworth of Clinton,; 6 grandchildren, Heather Valentine of FL., Michael (Heidi) Dilworth of Akron, Tracy Jones of Federal, Washington State, Eric and Jake Novak both of Shreve, and Christopher (Francheska) Dilworth of Akron; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 loving nieces, Laura VanHorn of Hayesville and Patty Ewing of Wooster along with several other nieces and nephews; 2 brothers and 3 sisters all of GA. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she is preceded in death by a grandson, James Joseph "J.J." Dilworth; 3 sisters and a brother. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all those who took part with the concern and care for Frances throughout the years and especially the staff at the Wayne County Care Center, the Wooster Community Hospital and Hospice and Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County.
