Frank Louis

Frank L. Louis, age 77, of Wooster, left his earthly home in Wooster and went to his heavenly home Tuesday morning, June 23rd, 2009 following a lengthy illness surrounded by his family. Services will be Friday, 11:00 a.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster with Pastor Mark Davenport officiating followed by interment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Wooster where military rites will be conducted. Visitation will be this afternoon & evening (Wednesday)from 1 - 3 & 6 - 8 p.m.; Thursday from 10 - 12 p.m. and Friday from 9 - 11. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either: Hospice and Palliative Care Of Greater Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691 or to help off-set costs for the post service luncheon. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at: www.custerglenn.com. He was born in Pittsburg, PA. on August 3, 1931 to Frank and Laura (Masson) Louis and moved to Wooster in 1973. He graduated from Allegheny High School in 1949. Along with his parents, he owned and operated a restaurant and during that time also worked for various other companies and then in railroad work. He served in the U.S. Army Corps and the U.S. Army Reserves from January 13, 1953 - February 20, 1961. He married Paula Kendall on June 30, 1981. She survives. He retired from Borg-Warner/Bosch-Rexroth company serving as a Valve Tester in 1996 after many years of service. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Frank III (Sharon) Louis of Jeromesville, Valerie (Jeffrey) Ison, Sr. of Wooster, Mark (Susan) Louis, Darla Louis and Steve Louis all of the Pittsburgh,PA area, Lorita and Theresa Louis of Florida, Richard (Julie) Louis of Wooster, Alex, Sr. (Dione) Louis of Wooster; Grandchildren, Frank IV and Pam Louis of Loudonville, Neil and Tonya Louis of Jeromesville, Timothy and Gayle Louis of Cambridge, Gloria Myers of Missouri, Shalyn (Ison) and Christofer Bell, Sr., Julie (Ison) and Nicholas Daugherty , Jeffery, Jr. and Sarah Ison all of Wooster, Christine and Kimberly Louis, Bruce, Tina, Marcie and Richard Graham, Corey, Brianna, Joelle and Phoenix Stratemeier all of Pittsburgh, Kayley, Tyler and Ave Louis, Ashley, Alex, Jr. and Breanna Louis, Brittnay Mosier and Jonathan Lance all of Wooster; Great-Grandchildren, Brody and Frank V Louis of Loudonville, Zachery Resar, Rashel and Charlene Louis of Jeromesville, Austin, Alexis, Nicholas and Megan Louis all of Cambridge,Matt, Christina and Jacob Myers of Missouri, Patience, Christofer, Jr., Cherish Bell and Lily Daugherty all of Wooster, Gabriel, Aubree and Briana Ison (triplets) all of Wooster. A sister, Alyce Schmitt of Pittsburgh;mother-in-law, Vesta Kendall; brother-in-law, Dan Kendall; sister-in-law,Pat Sword all of Wooster; nieces,Donna Rae Fischer of Pittsburgh, Adria Nauman-Grant of Roanoke, VA., Lisa Sachariat of North Carolina, Stacy Sachariat of Apple Creek; grand nieces and nephews, Barry Paul and Benjamin Clapperton, Michelle Jenkins, Jode Saylers and Tiffany Jordan of Pittsburgh, Elaine and Timothy Heldreth of Roanoke, Makayla Ramsey of Apple Creek. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Bedwell, a granddaughter, Lacey Stratemeier, a father-in-law, Paul Kendall; nieces, Debra McCance and Laura Jones; numerous aunts and uncles.
