Mildred Lee Crisco

Mildred Lee Crisco, age 86 of 4188 Wile Rd., Wooster, passed away, Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Smithville Western Care Center in Wooster where she was surrounded by her family. Services will be on Saturday, February 19th, 2:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster with Rev. Wade Brill officiating followed by interment at Wooster Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 hours (12:00 - 2:00 p.m.) prior to services at the funeral home. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at: www.custerglenn.com. She was born on May 18, 1924 in Knoxville, TN. to the late Callie Pearl and John Patty. She relocated to Wooster in 1943 and had resided at her current address for the past 61 years. Mildred was employed at two local restaurants during her working career. During this time she raised all 10 of her children and maintained the household. She was an extremely hard worker her entire life. Mildred enjoyed gardening, her pets, and preparing meals for her family and friends. Her home was always open to guests. She enjoyed following and attending her children and grandchildren's activities. Most importantly, she cherished the time spent with her family, often spending hours visiting around her kitchen table drinking coffee. Mildred will be remembered for her sense of humor, selflessness, and love of family and friends. She was a proud mother, giving unconditional love to all 10 of her children and their families. She is survived by children, Charles (Geraline) Crisco of Lancaster, South Carolina, Lacey (Sue) Crisco of Ashland, Ohio, Louise (Robert) Sprang, Caroline "Joe" (Charles) Harvey, Margaret (Terry) Herman, Richard Crisco, Elaine (James) Over, Garry Crisco, Larry (Mary) Crisco, and Clyde "Gene" (Cheryl Swartz) Crisco all of Wooster. She had 19 grandchildren, and was a great-grandmother and great- great-grandmother to a family that spanned 5 generations. She will be deeply missed by all. She was preceded in death by 3 grandsons, Christopher Crisco, Guy Over and Lacey Crisco, Jr.
