Patricia A. Clark

Patricia A. Clark, age 70, of Wooster, went home to be with her Lord Jesus on Monday, December 15th, 2008 after a brief illness. Patricia was surrounded by her loving sons, Mark, Matt, and John, daughter-in-law Diane, and Pastor Nathan Ward and Pastor Richard Daye of the Wooster Church Of The Nazarene. Patricia was born February 28, 1938 in East Palestine, Ohio to Gilbert and Madge (Dunham) Dyke of Negley, Ohio. Patricia lived in Negley, Ohio and graduated from East Palestine High School in 1957. She married her high school sweetheart John E. Clark of Negley, Ohio on May 15, 1958. Patricia and her husband moved to Wooster, Ohio where she made her home until she entered her heavenly home. Patricia dedicated her entire life to raising her four sons and being a faithful wife to her husband. Patricia worked for K-Mart in Wooster for several years before retiring to take care of her husband. Patricia was a member of the Wooster Church of The Nazarene. She loved being in church, worshiping her Creator and being surrounded by her friends there. She often adopted them as sons, daughters and grandchildren. Patricia worked tirelessly to nurture those around her. She gave of her life selflessly to make other people's lives better. Patricia enjoyed making others happy, encouraging them and guiding them. An ever-present source of help and patience, Patricia was a loyal and trustworthy mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Patricia left an indelible mark on the lives of those around her. Patricia loved everyone around her. Her children and grandchildren were the joys of her life. Patricia was preceded in death by her sister Donna Dyke, her parents Gilbert and Madge Dyke, her son Michael A. Clark(1977), her husband John E. Clark (1997), her brother-in-law Leland Huff of Chester, West Virginia, and her brother-in-law Larry Crawford of Darlington, Pennsylvania. Patricia is survived by her children Mark (Diane) Clark, Matthew Clark and John Clark all of Wooster, Ohio; her grandchildren Justin Clark, Nicole Clark, Kyle Clark, Ashley Clark, and Nathanael Clark all of Wooster, Ohio; her sisters Nancy (Larry) Witman of Unity, Ohio, Linda (Gerald)Luther of New Brighton, Pennsylvania, Diana (Larry) Crawford of Darlington, Pennsylvania; her sister-in-law, Betty Huff of Chester, West Virginia; three aunts, her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Calling hours will be Sunday December 21, 2008, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 P.M. at the Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster. Patricia's funeral and celebration of her life will be Monday, December 22, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wooster Church of The Nazarene in Wooster, Ohio. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the family at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster, Ohio.
