Paul A. Pahoundis, C.F.P.

Paul A. Pahoundis, C.F.P., age 81, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday morning, May 26th, 2011 at his resdience where he was surrounded by his loving family following a long illness. Visitation will be this evening (Friday) from 7 - 9 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster. The Spartian Blue Lodge #126 of Millersburg will conduct masonic services at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 124 South Market St., Loudonville with Pastor John Fitch officiating. There will be a time of fellowship and food following services at the church. Interment will then take place, 2:00 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery, 1025 Canton Rd. in Akron. He was born on June 3, 1929 in Uhrichsville, Ohio to Elijah George and Mary Naoma (Oren) Pahoundis and has been a Wooster resident for many years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as 1st Lieutenant, Artillery. In 1967, he attended the University of Akron and then continued his education, graduating from the College of Financial Planning from Denver, CO in 1982 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He married Shirley J. Trail. She survives. He worked for New England Financial before retiring after many years of service. He attended Grace Brethren Church in Wooster and was a member of First Baptist Church in Loudonville; He was a member of Gideons Intl. and a 50 year member of the Tadmore Shrine and Scottish Rite in Canton, Ohio; F&AM Spartian Blue Lodge #126 of Millersburg. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Andrea L. Pahoundis of Atascadero, CA.; 2 grandchildren, Kristen L. Thorp and Nicholas S. Thorp; a step-son, Mark Trail of Coshocton, Ohio; 3 step-daughters, Julia Trail of N.C., Tammy Martin of Apple Creek, Ohio and Lisa Leggett of Ashland, Ohio; 8 step-grandchildren and 7 step-great grandchildren; 3 brothers George David Pahoundis, Timothy Pahoundis and E. Louis Pahoundis and a sister, Grace Evangaline Peel. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his 1st wife, Sandra Lynn; 2 sisters and a brother.
